Background and History:
Skylight It Training L.L.C. was originally formed as Skylight Systems Training in 2002 and renamed Skylight IT Training L.L.C. in 2003. Its founder, Leighton Jones, has a Masters Degree in Education Administration, 9 technical certifications and 10 years of training experience teaching over 3000 students. He has learned that to be a successful training company you have to do more than just disseminate technical information to your students, you must solve problems as well.
Both new students entering the IT industry for the first time as well as experienced IT professionals need to know not only the technical requirements of the job and how to take technical certifications exams, but also how to market their new skills in this difficult economy. In our training classes you not only learn the computer skills required by industry but also learn how to prepare a professional résumé, find unadvertised jobs and to prepare for job interviews.
The training staff at Skylight IT Training have been carefully chosen for their experience and expertise in training both career changing students and seasoned professionals. Our trainers are Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCT) and Microsoft Certified Engineers (MCSE). They have passed the associated exam for each course they teach. In addition to being Microsoft certified they are also A+ certified by the Computer Technology Industry Association. Each year our instructors are required to pass at least three new Microsoft Exams, and attend an industry continuing education class.
